Your First Live: The Complete Pre-Show Checklist
You don't need a studio to run a great live selling session — you need a stable connection, good light, and a plan. This checklist covers the essentials TASALive sellers run through before every live, whether it's their first or their hundredth.
Technical
Test your internet with a real upload speed check, not just a ping — live video needs sustained upload bandwidth, and a connection that's fine for browsing can stutter under a live stream. Test your camera and microphone together, not separately, so you catch sync issues before viewers do. Natural light facing you (not behind you) beats almost any ring light.
Commercial
Confirm stock on everything you plan to feature — nothing kills momentum like promising something you can't fulfil. Check your offers and payment links actually work by testing them yourself. Have your pricing and any discount codes written down somewhere you can see without breaking eye contact with the camera.
Content
Have your script or talking points ready, but don't read them word for word — bullet points, not a script to recite. Post your captions and reminders ahead of time so people actually see them before you go live, not during.
Work through this list every time and the technical side becomes second nature within your first three or four lives.
