How to Go Live on YouTube

YouTube is the one platform TASALive controls end to end — connect your channel once, and TASALive creates the broadcast, binds the stream, and pulls live chat automatically. Here's what to know before your first YouTube live.

Channel requirements

Your channel needs live streaming enabled by Google, which for new/lightly-used channels can require a one-time "Request access to streaming" step in YouTube Studio and up to 24 hours for approval. Do this well before your first scheduled live, not the day of.

Connecting to TASALive

In Settings → Integrations, connect your YouTube account. TASALive will show you whether your channel is approved for live streaming yet, and lets you recheck once you have requested access.

Going live

Once connected and approved, selecting YouTube as a platform for your live event is a genuine one-click flow — TASALive creates the broadcast, starts your stream from the Studio, and transitions it live automatically once it detects incoming video.

Chat

YouTube live chat streams straight into your TASALive dashboard, so you don't need to have YouTube Studio open in a second tab — read and respond to comments from the same screen you're running your show from.
